Brush off your lenses, get your underwater camera equipment packed and head out to the ocean - it's time to get your best photos into the annual LegaSea Summer Photo competition!

Every year, LegaSea's popular photography competition showcases the beauty that can be found in our waters, and this year the competition will be casting a light on their FishCare programme, a concept that helps shed light on the important issues that are affecting our oceans and marine life.

Naturally, there are some fabulous prizes to be won in each of the seven categories:

  • Landscape Coastal Shots
  • Underwater Photos
  • Marine Life in their Natural Environment
  • Collecting & Catching Kaimoana
  • Preparing, Cooking & Eating Kaimoana
  • Things That Ain't Right in our Oceans
  • Kids' Photos

And of course, there will be one overall winner.

As the New Zealand Underwater Association, we're sponsoring the Underwater Photos category. The winner of this category will win a $500 voucher from Splash Dive, suppliers of a huge range of underwater equipment. Established in 1989, the team at Splash love a great adventure in the big blue, and have all the experience and knowledge to provide you with the right equipment for your own exploration. The exclusive agent for many top brands for scuba and spearfishing, including Atlantis, Rob Allen, Sherwood, Sealife, Epsealon, Salvinar and more, you're bound to find everything you need right here!

Ready to start snapper... sorry, snapping? To find out more about the competition and submit your entries, visit the competition entry page by clicking here. The competition is open from now until February 28, 2025.
